Restauration Mosaïques |
This tabletop was made in the XIXth century from gallo-roman marbles found during the excavation of the Palais d'Albâtre in Soissons.
Some pieces are moving and the glue is no longer holding. Some pieces are missing.
The city of Soissons requested the artwork to be dusted, clened, its adhesion checked, reattached, and the missing parts recreated.
Molds were maede in darker tones to restore a complete appearance. The artwork will be exhibited in the future Museum of Art and History of Soissons.
